 Ice Age 2 tops the UK box office for the second week in a row |
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown has proved the most popular film in British cinemas over the Easter bank holiday. The prehistoric cartoon comedy held on to the number one position at the UK box office for the second consecutive weekend, with takings of �3.6m.
Horror spoof Scary Movie 4 debuted at number two, with Inside Man at three.
Other new entries included ballroom dancing drama Take The Lead at four, and An American Haunting, starring Donald Sutherland, in sixth place.
Ice Age 2 has already found success in the United States, becoming the first film of 2006 to pass the $100m (�57.3m) mark at the US box office.
The animated comedy features the voices of comedian Ray Romano, hip-hop star Queen Latifah, Denis Leary and Jay Leno.
