The court heard Doherty was delayed after a gig in Paris |
Singer Pete Doherty has failed to turn up to court for a review of his drug rehabilitation after being delayed following a concert in France. The Babyshambles star, 26, was stuck in Paris where the band was playing on Tuesday, Thames Magistrates Court in east London was told.
Doherty was given a 12-month community order for drug possession in February.
His case was adjourned until 12 May. He is due back in the same court on 20 April over other drugs-related charges.
Scuffles
He admitted to separate drugs charges in March.
Doherty's year-long drug rehabilitation programme will require him to attend a drug centre and undergo monthly check-ups.
Police officers were on guard at the court in case there was a repetition of the scuffles that erupted during Doherty's last appearance.
Fans, including one who played a guitar in honour of the star, waited in vain for him to arrive.
