Singer's shock at waitress claim
Hank Williams Jr
Hank Williams Jr has enjoyed a 40-year career
Country music star Hank Williams Jr has been accused of harassment by a 19-year-old waitress in a hotel bar.

Holly Hornbeak claimed he swore at her, tried to kiss her and lifted her in a chokehold, a police report said.

Williams' publicist Kirt Webster said the 59-year-old singer had not been contacted by police.

"I am shocked at such allegations," Mr Webster said. Williams is in Memphis, where his two daughters were injured in a car crash on 15 March.

'Erroneous allegations'

Holly Williams, 25, was released from hospital on Friday but Hilary Williams, 27, was still in intensive care on Tuesday.

Their father held a press conference on Friday to respond to rumours started by an anonymous caller to a radio show, who claimed he asked for only white personnel to attend to his daughters.

"Hank Jr has had to defend himself once already in Memphis last Friday from erroneous allegations, and now this," Mr Webster said.

Hank Williams Jr, son of 40s and 50s music star Hank Williams, has had a string of hit country singles including Family Tradition and All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight.
