This version of Jekyll, starring Ryan, is to be set in the present day |
Former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan, who played Zoe Slater in the soap, is to appear in a forthcoming television remake of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. She has been confirmed for a role in Jekyll, based on the book by Robert Louis Stevenson, although the BBC will not say which character she is to play.
The drama begins filming next month and will be shown next year.
The 22-year-old quit EastEnders last year, when her troubled character went to the island of Ibiza to start afresh.
Market trader Zoe Slater had confessed to having a relationship with Dirty Den, her then-boyfriend's father, during a typically volatile family Christmas lunch in the Queen Vic pub.
