One of the stars of reality business programme The Apprentice has been bailed by police as part of an inquiry into alleged money-laundering. Syed Ahmed, 31, must report back to officers in east London on 20 October.
He was described as being the "director of his own IT recruitment company" by the BBC Two show.
"We can confirm a 31-year-old man was arrested at Chingford in connection with money-laundering offences," a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said.
She would not elaborate on the investigation or the precise allegations against Mr Ahmed.
Mr Ahmed was a contestant on the second series of the show, which ended in May.
It was won by telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry, who earned a �100,000-a-year job with business tycoon Sir Alan Sugar.
