Paul O'Grady's ITV1 show beat Richard and Judy in the ratings
Chat show host Paul O'Grady's debut is among the new programmes lined up for Channel 4's spring season.

The comedian, who defected from ITV1, will share the teatime slot with former rivals Richard and Judy.

The second series of US hit Lost and award-winning comedy Green Wing will also be screened.

A dramatic recreation of the Bradford riots and football drama All In The Game, starring Ray Winstone, are among the broadcaster's new programmes.

Bradford Riots revisits the events of 2001 and their aftermath from the perspective of a group of young Asian men.

Reality

Winstone plays a Premiership football manager at the heart of a game which is portrayed as corrupted by power and money.

The Road To Guantanamo, which won an award at the Berlin Film Festival, will be shown on Channel 4 on 9 March.

The film chronicles the Tipton Three, British men who were held at the US detention centre after being arrested in Afghanistan.

How Clean Is Your House stars Kim Woodburn and Aggie McKenzie will present a one-off special looking at cleanliness in Britain's hospitals, while The Play's The Thing will place a new writing talent's work onto the West End stage.

The show will follow the format of Musicality and Operatunity which introduced a reality element to the performing arts.

And illusionist Derren Brown is to return on Friday nights along with the seventh series of Big Brother early in the summer.

The programme's exact transmission date has yet to be determined.

Comic Sean Lock and string of celebrity guests will take part in new series TV Heaven, Telly Hell, a trawl of the archives for memorable and embarrassing moments.

And Lost, which has been a ratings hit on both sides of the Atlantic, will continue the fortunes of a group of plane crash survivors trapped on a desert island.

Another survivor's emergence from the jungle is among the plot twists and turns to grace series two.

  • More4 are to follow-up their political satire A Very Social Secretary, with a comic drama about Prime Minister Tony Blair.

    It will be written by Alistair Beaton, who poked fun at former Home Secretary David Blunkett in A Very Social Secretary, and will star Robert Lindsay as Mr Blair.

    Sitcom The IT Crowd has been recommissioned for a second series on Channel 4, which is expected to air next year, while comedy programme Peep Show is returning for its fourth run.
