Oprah Winfrey's talk show is seen in 112 countries worldwide

The multi-disc compilation of some of her show's best moments is set for release in the US in November.

Winfrey's share of the DVD's proceeds will go to her Angel Network charity, which was established in 1998.

The Oprah Winfrey Show, watched by 30m viewers each week in the US alone, has been America's highest-rated talk show for 18 consecutive seasons.

High profile

The first DVD release of the show will also feature behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Winfrey, in which she reflects on her career in broadcasting.

The programme's 20 years has included a series of high profile guests, while Oprah's book club has had a significant impact on literary sales in the US.

"Every show you'll see here holds such profound meaning for me. I appreciate every hour our viewers spent watching us grow and go forward, " she said.

One of the recipients of the National Civil Rights Museum's Freedom awards in July, Winfrey was called "a great humanitarian" for her charitable works.

Earlier this year, the 51-year-old broadcaster was named the world's most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine, displacing actor and film director Mel Gibson.
