Conductor Daniel Barenboim, 63, has been released from hospital in Berlin after suffering from "a disturbance of his sense of balance". Barenboim, the general music director of Berlin's opera house, was taken to hospital on Friday ahead of a special concert celebrating Mozart's birthday.
The conductor was released on Sunday, after doctors found no signs of serious illness, an opera house statement said.
Barenboim begins a two-week US tour with the city orchestra on Wednesday.
The Argentinian-born pianist, who is also chief conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, will set off with the opera house's Staatskapelle orchestra later this week.
The tour includes performances in Miami, Philadelphia, Boston and New York's Carnegie Hall.
