Ghetto Gospel, which features vocals from Elton John, is produced by Eminem and is taken from an album released last year, Loyal to the Game.

The song by Shakur, who was shot dead in 1996, replaces ringtone character Crazy Frog's version of Harold Faltermeyer's 1985 hit Axel F.

Fellow festival act James Blunt is at No 2.

As well as enjoying album success with Back to Bedlam, Blunt's You're Beautiful is at number three in the singles chart, a drop of one place.

Ghetto Gospel comes from Loyal to the Game, the seventh album of Shakur's music released since he was killed.

Bobby Valentino's Slow Down is a new entry at number four, with MVP's Rock Ya Body making its debut at five.

US hip-hop star Missy Elliott's Lose Control comes into the chart at number seven, with 50 Cent's Just A Lil Bit new at number ten.

Up-and-coming rock act Hard-Fi enter the chart at number nine on the day they were due to play at Glastonbury's John Peel Stage.

But the appearance had to be cancelled because one of the band was called to a family emergency.
