Luciano Pavarotti is currently on an extensive farewell world tour |
Luciano Pavarotti has cancelled a Three Tenors concert in Mexico after contracting laryngitis. Pavarotti pulled out of Saturday's show in Monterrey after a doctor told him to rest his voice for at least 10 days.
But the event, for 50,000 fans, will go ahead with the other two singers - Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.
Pavarotti recently cancelled a Dublin performance because of a throat infection and has postponed two UK concerts to have neck surgery.
The 69-year-old opera star is currently on an extensive farewell tour.
Carreras denied Saturday's show was to have been the last Three Tenors concert. "We have plenty of offers from several cities around the world," he said.
