Happier times: Jesse Wallace and Dave Morgan |
EastEnders' Jessie Wallace has lost her bid to secure a High Court injunction to block a newspaper interview with the estranged father of her daughter. The BBC One soap actress's lawyers applied to Mr Justice Andrew Smith in a bid to halt Dave Morgan's story.
Mr Justice Smith ruled the News of the World had every right to print the interview, saying he was satisfied she had forfeited her right to privacy.
He said she had sought out publicity saying much of it was "provocative".
His ruling comes a fortnight after the newspaper fought off an injunction attempt from David and Victoria Beckham, who had hoped to stop publication of an interview with their former nanny Abbie Gibson.

Tom Crone, legal manager for the News of the World, said there were parallels between both cases.
"These injunctions were instigated by people who have put their lives out there in the goldfish bowl of celebrity," he said.
He added that the judges formed the view that "for those who have volunteered a great deal of their private life to the public on a commercial basis it's a bit rich for them to say, when someone comes along to correct that view, that they are entitled to privacy".
Wallace, who plays Kat Moon in the soap, gave birth to daughter Tallulah Lilac last November, and split from Mr Morgan last month.
She did not speak to reporters as she arrived at BBC Television Centre for the British Soap Awards.
The pair had shared a home in Wanstead, east London.
A spokesman for the BBC said it could not comment on the matter.
