Coldplay, including singer Chris Martin, have a US top 10 single |
British bands Coldplay, Oasis and Franz Ferdinand are among the acts leading the bill for a top US music festival. Doves and Keane are also on the bill for the fourth Austin City Limits Music Festival, due to take place in Texas from 23 to 25 September.
Wilco, Jimmy Cliff and the Black Crowes are among the other top-billed acts.
Billed as the US' longest-running music show, the festival boasts more than 130 bands and attracted 70,000 people daily last year.
Other acts lined up to play include country stars Lyle Lovett and Lucinda Williams, veteran country rock act the Allman Brothers Band and acclaimed indie band The Bravery.
Stateside success
British acts further down the bill include Brit award nominee rockers Kasabian, dance band Aqualung and indie newcomers Bloc Party and The Futureheads.
Leading the Austin City Limits line-up is another high profile US success for Coldplay, who release third album X&Y in June.
Last week, the band's single Speed of Sound debuted at number eight in the US top 10.
Coldplay are also headlining the Glastonbury festival in June.
