Pitt and Jolie's alleged romance has been denied by both camps |
A newspaper report that Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have wed in a secret ceremony is "completely untrue", his publicist has confirmed. The Daily Star newspaper claimed on Wednesday that the couple exchanged vows at a recent Buddhist ceremony.
But Pitt's agent told the BBC News website that the paper had used a picture from the stars' recent film Mr and Mrs Smith to support the story.
"There's simply no truth to this whatsoever," she said.
She declined to make any further comment on the matter.
Romantically linked
The Daily Star reported that Pitt has worn a gold band on his wedding finger since the alleged ceremony.
It also claimed the pair plan to "go public" as a couple once a legal ceremony in the US has taken place.
Pitt and Jolie have been romantically linked since shooting Mr and Mrs Smith, although both parties have denied that they are an item.
Pitt's four-year marriage to hit US sitcom Friends star Jennifer Aniston ended earlier this year.
