Rap label row to cost boss $107m
Marion "Suge" Knight
Marion "Suge" Knight's Death Row Records was a force in the 1990s
Rap record company boss Marion "Suge" Knight has been ordered to pay $107m (57m) to a woman who claims she helped found his Death Row label in 1989.

Death Row has been one of hip-hop's top labels with artists including Tupac Shakur, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg.

Lydia Harris said she invested in Death Row but was pushed out by Mr Knight.

A Los Angeles judge said Mr Knight must give Ms Harris a share of profits after Mr Knight broke court rules by failing to share evidence.

Ms Harris said she and her husband invested in Death Row on the understanding that they would have a 50% stake, but were pushed out when Mr Knight realised how valuable the label was.

Mr Knight's representatives were unavailable for comment about the latest court case.

The rap mogul has been in and out of jail in recent years, serving stints for assault, weapons violations, and associating with gang members.
