 Wallace and Gromit's first movie took two years to animate |
Wallace and Gromit's first feature film continues to top the UK box office, having taken �4.6m at the weekend. The Curse of the Were-Rabbit has taken �16.6m in the UK so far, having also topped the international box office chart outside North America.
Family films dominated the UK chart, with Emma Thompson's Nanny McPhee entering in second place and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride new at three.
Sky High entered at number four, followed by thriller Into the Blue.
Fire inquiry
Nicolas Cage movie Lord of War fell four places to number six while Broken Flowers, starring Bill Murray and Julie Delpy, made its debut in seventh place.
The latest movie version of Pride and Prejudice fell into eighth position and comedy Kinky Boots was at number nine.
The Wallace and Gromit film went on general UK release on 14 October, four days after a fire destroyed hundreds of props used by the film's makers, Oscar-winning Aardman Animations.
On Saturday a team of investigators visited their Bristol warehouse for the first time since the incident. An inquiry into the cause of the fire is under way.
