Madonna has climbed into the saddle for the first time since being injured in a horse riding accident two months ago. The pop star rode down New York's 53rd Street with US TV host David Letterman for his show.
In August, she suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand in a fall at her English estate.
Before the ride in New York, she said she had "excitement tainted with fear". Confessions on a Dancefloor, her new album, will be released next month.
She had not been back on a horse since the accident because "my record company is not very keen on the idea of me injuring myself", she said.

For more than a month after the accident, she was seen in public wearing a sling. The fall happened at her Ashcombe House on the Dorset/Wiltshire border on her 47th birthday.
But she was determined it would not disrupt the release of Confessions on a Dancefloor.
She is also releasing a single, Hung Up, and a documentary about her 2004 Re-Invention World Tour, I'm Going to Tell You a Secret.
