Chris Jordan's Bi-polar was last year's mock Turner winner |
The shortlisted artists for the main Turner Prize are Darren Almond, Gillian Carnegie, Jim Lambie and Simon Starling. The prize has caused controversy in the past - with Charles Saatchi condemning one year's shortlist as "pseudo-controversial claptrap".
Last year we held a mock Turner Prize competition to see what BBC News website users could come up with, and you voted Chris Jordan's Bi-polar - drawn with a sparkler and photographed using a single long exposure - the winner.
This year, we are running the competition again. The entry deadline has now passed, and you have sent us a stunning 180 entries.
We are now in the process of choosing a shortlist of 10 for a picture gallery. Then it will be up to you to vote for the best, in the run-up to the Turner Prize itself.
Thankyou to all who have sent in entries, and good luck! Just to remind you, there is no prize on offer. Now watch this space....
