Actor Tim Robbins has been crowned Harvard drama group's Hasty Pudding Man of the Year in Massachusetts for his contributions to entertainment. The actor, known for his role as baseball pitcher "Nuke" LaLoosh in Bull Durham, sang a reversioned Take Me Out to the Ball Game to earn his prize.
As an ode to his role in prison drama The Shawshank Redemption, he also presented his case to a parole board.
Robbins' partner Susan Sarandon won the female award in 1996.
The 46-year-old actor, who is renowned for his social activism, had to deal with student protesters waving signs, before being presented with the bronze pudding from members of the drama troupe dressed in drag.
Last week actress Catherine Zeta Jones received the Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award and Sandra Bullock and Robert Downey Jr were last year's winners.
The drama troupe, based at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, honours contributions to the entertainment world each year with the coveted pudding award.
