Rock group Pink Floyd will be among the inductees to the UK Music Hall of Fame in November. Pink Floyd performed together for the first time in 24 years at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park in July.
David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright will be back together to attend the hall's second induction ceremony on Channel 4.
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Michael Jackson and U2 were among the inaugural members in 2004.
Madonna, Elvis, Bob Marley, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, and Robbie Williams were the other inductees.
Inspiring generations
Pink Floyd have been selected by a panel made up of 60 artists, music journalists, broadcasters and industry executives.
"Pink Floyd have had at least one an album in the American chart without interruption for 32 years," said broadcaster and panel member Paul Gambaccini.
"They continue to inspire new generations of bands."
Pink Floyd's performance at Live 8 in Hyde Park was the first time the line-up had appeared together since performing in The Wall concerts at Earls Court in June 1981.
Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan was the first of this year's inductees to be announced.
The late BBC DJ John Peel will become an honorary member in acknowledgement of his contribution to British music.
