Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow began dating in 2003 |
Singer Sheryl Crow and seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong are engaged, a spokesman for the cyclist announced on Monday. Armstrong's representative said a spring wedding for the high-profile couple was likely.
The 43-year-old star met Armstrong, a testicular cancer survivor who has three children from his first marriage, at a charity event in October 2003.
Grammy award-winner Crow releases her fifth album, Wildflower, this month.
The singer has previously been linked with rock star Eric Clapton and actor Owen Wilson.
Last month Armstrong denied allegations published in a French newspaper that he used performance-enhancing drugs in 1999, the year of his first Tour de France victory.
The 33-year-old retired from cycling after winning his seventh Tour in July.
