Late singer Ray Charles will be honoured at this year's Grammy Awards ceremony with a tribute performance. The tribute to the blind musician, who died last June at the age of 73, will be performed by Grammy Award winners Bonnie Raitt and Billy Preston.
Charles is posthumously nominated for seven awards this year, including album of the year for his collection of duets, Genius Loves Company.
The awards ceremony takes place next month in Los Angeles.
Singer Norah Jones, nominated in five categories, is to present an award.
Fifty-year career
Her duet with Charles, Here We Go Again, has gained two nods for record of the year and best vocal collaboration.
Charles' duet with Elton John from Charles' best-selling album Genuis Loves Company competes in the same category.
The blind musician's last album was recorded shortly before his death, and became his first million-selling collection in a career spanning more than 50 years, winning him 13 Grammy awards.
He made a total of 250 recordings during his career, including Georgia On My Mind and I Can't Stop Loving You.
A film about his life, Ray, has collected a total of six Oscar nominations, including a best actor nod for Jamie Foxx, who portrays Charles in the biopic.
