McCririck had made some enemies with his outspoken views on women |
Racing pundit John McCririck has become the latest contestant to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother. As the decision was announced, he punched the air with delight and said: "Thank God I'm out."
McCririck was ordered to leave the house on Monday, following Jackie Stallone, the actor Sylvester's mother, who was first to be kicked out.
He had been nominated for eviction with Happy Mondays dancer Bez, who has become withdrawn and argumentative.
Speaking to show host Davina McCall after being released, McCririck said he had been the only competitor not acting, describing the others as "desperate and pathetic" in their desire to win.
Scathing remarks
He also gave his views on the remaining contestants, which included branding Bez "simple", Brigitte Nielsen as "so in love with herself" and Jeremy Edwards as the "original pretty boy".
Bez had reacted badly to the news that he had been nominated by five of his fellow housemates, whilst McCririck had received four votes against him.
Nielsen, Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife, had nominated both John and Bez.
She said: "Bez is a difficult human being. There's something wrong with him. Even though he's making an effort, he's not very happy in here."
Former Holby City actor Edwards said he had nominated Bez after he became agitated on Friday night and talked about escaping over the wall to go clubbing.
Kenzie favourite
He said Bez was being "loopy" and "stressed".
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have made Kenzie odds-on favourite to win at 4/5 while Bez's chances have dropped to 8/1 from 10/1. He is still 8/11 favourite to be the next evicted.
Nielsen is second favourite to win at 5/2, with Edwards at 7/1, Caprice at 16/1 and Lisa I'Anson the 50/1 outsider.
