Sharon Osbourne will star in the show from April

Other cast members have yet to be confirmed for the production, which will run at London's Wyndham Theatre for six weeks from April.

It will be the second time the play, written by Eve Ensler, has been performed in London.

"I am extremely honoured to be asked to appear in The Vagina Monologues in the West End," Osbourne said.

The show was originally performed at the Arts Theatre in London in 2001 and since then has continued to tour the UK.

Stars who have appeared in the show in the past include models Jerry Hall and Sophie Dahl, comedian Jenny Eclair, TV presenter Mariella Frostrup and former Spice Girl Mel B.

The show has been performed in 28 countries around the world, including the US and India.
