The literary works of best-selling author Robert Ludlum, including The Bourne Identity, are to be transformed into computer games. Vivendi Universal Games has signed a long-term deal to develop and publish games based on the books.
The author, who died in 2001, has sold more than 290 million books worldwide.
A number of Ludlum's novels have been turned in movies, including the successful Bourne Identity and its sequel The Bourne Supremacy.

A third movie starring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne is set for release in 2007.
Among Ludlum's novels which are expected to be turned into multi-platform games include the Covert One and Bourne series.

"The interest in Robert Ludlum's works is enormous, as evidenced by the worldwide popularity and commercial success of his books and movies."
