Farrell cast his eye over his waxwork dummy

The interactive exhibition, featuring waxworks of Farrell and co-star Angelina Jolie, lets visitors recreate a battle from the Oliver Stone film.

"He doesn't seem to have that much of a personality but he looks fine," said Farrell of his waxwork look-a-like.

He obliged fans by signing autographs and posing for pictures.

At the opening of the exhibition, fight instructors in costume trained would-be soldiers in the art of Hellenic period sword fighting, using props from the set of the film.

Alexander is an epic, with a reported budget of $150m (�79m) charting the life of the Macedonian leader Alexander the great.

The film has received mixed reviews, dampening hopes that it would do well in next year's Oscars.

Rolling Stone magazine said the film was "hamstrung by a hectoring grandiosity".
