Rappers' albums hit by net piracy
Eminem
Eminem has been a previous target of music pirates
Rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg have brought forward the release dates of their latest albums over fears about internet piracy.

Eminem's Encore album - which was originally scheduled to be released on 16 November - has been moved forward by four days.

The complete album can already be found on the internet.

And Snoop Dogg's album R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, has been moved forward by a week to 16 November.

Illegal copies

David Joseph, joint managing director of the Polydor label, which releases Eminem's records in the UK, said: "This is something we expected.

"We were ready to bring the release date forward as there has never been such intense speculation around an album release."

Eminem's last studio album, The Eminem Show, was moved forward nine days from its original release date in 2002.

It was released early after copies of the record were circulated illegally on the internet.
