The Darkness are embarking on a winter UK tour |
The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has injured his hand, but denied the damage will stop him playing guitar. There have been reports the star's hand smashed through a window in a fight, meaning he will not be able to play guitar on their forthcoming UK tour.
But his spokesman said there was no altercation and his injury was not bad enough to force him to be sidelined.
"Justin is able to play his guitar with his continued flair and is currently in tour rehearsals," a statement said.
Hawkins, known for his flamboyant style, falsetto voice and sparkly catsuits, led his band to rock stardom in 2003.
He has previously said he will "fly around venues like Superman" on their Winternational Arena tour, which begins in Nottingham on 24 November.
"We confirm reports this weekend that Darkness frontman and guitarist, Justin Hawkins, has sustained a slight injury to his right hand," the statement said.
"This injury poses no threat to their arena tour or his participation in the Band Aid 3 single."
