CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actor George Eads will return to the show after being sacked for missing filming over a suspected pay dispute. The show's producers, CBS, had thought he was demanding extra pay, but Eads said he had simply overslept.
He reached an agreement with CBS on Friday, and will be reportedly hired back on his old salary of $100,000 (54,400) per episode.
He will rejoin co-star Jorja Fox, also sacked and reinstated on Thursday.
Both actors will return to film the fifth series of the drama next week.
'White as a sheet'
"We are thrilled that Jorja and George could work things out with CBS and return to the show," said series creator Jerry Bruckheimer on Friday.
The CBS network had sacked the pair - Eads plays Nick Stokes and Fox Sara Sidle in the show - after saying that both had asked for raises well above their contracts.
But Eads last week told reporters in the US: "I overslept. I woke up white as a sheet three-and-a-half hours after I was supposed to be on the set."
CSI is one of the most popular shows in the US. The Las Vegas based forensic drama has spawned spin-off series based in Miami and New York.
