 Ahmed was favourite |
Somali-born Ahmed Aghil has become the fifth person to be evicted from the reality show Big Brother. He faced eviction on Friday night with five of the remaining eight housemates on the Channel 4 show.
Ahmed, 44, was the bookmakers' favourite to go with odds of 20-1 - making him the most unpopular contestant in Big Brother history.
He greeted news of his eviction by punching the air and shouting "yes!".
Housemates had issued a plea to the public to "be nice" to whoever was removed from the show.
All of the competitors apart from Michelle Bass and Jason Cowen were nominated after this week's task.
Nadia Almada, Daniel Bryan, Shell Jubin, Stuart Wilson and Victor Ebuwa all avoided eviction for another week.
Boos
The six were put up for eviction by public vote after they completed their boot camp challenge.
Speaking after his eviction, Ahmed said he had "enjoyed" the reaction of the booing crowds.
"I did enjoy it. I respect the public, whether they boo me or applaud me. I enjoy that - they have their rights, " he told presenter Davina McCall.
He said taking part in the show had been the realisation of a dream, but added that he only expected to last three weeks.
Naked session
Earlier Dan, Nadia, Shell, Stuart and Michelle promised the public a naked diary room session if they were saved.
Nadia, carrying a white flag of peace, was joined in the diary room by Stuart, Michelle and Shell to beg for sympathy from the crowd gathered for the eviction.
The Portuguese transsexual said: "It's a plea, whoever goes (on Friday), be extra nice if it's me. Or moderately nice if it's someone else.
"It's a little gesture for the crowd to be sympathetic."
Last week, contestant Becki Seddiki, 33, faced a hostile crowd as she became the fourth person to be evicted.
