Ms Love faces five separate legal hearings

She faces charges of being under the influence of cocaine and opiates.

Last week Ms Love, 40, was declared a fugitive from justice for missing a hearing in another case involving alleged assault with a weapon.

The court in Los Angeles is expected to sentence Ms Love in her absence to a drug treatment programme.

Ms Love was admitted to hospital in New York this week for what her lawyer Michael Rosenstein said was a gynaecological condition. She is reported to have told police she had had an abortion the day before being admitted to hospital.

'Doing well'

New York newspapers showed photos of her being carried on a stretcher in handcuffs from her apartment by paramedics.

She later left the hospital in Manhattan but was then admitted to a private medical facility, Mr Rosenstein said.

He said she was "receiving treatment and doing well".

"She will 100% be back voluntarily before the jurisdiction to face any and all charges against her," he said.

"She'll be back as soon as she's released from her care from her physician."

Mr Rosenstein said he was authorised to accept the sentencing on her drugs charge on Ms Love's behalf.

Ms Love, widow of the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, faces another drug possession case, an assault charge, a reckless endangerment charge in New York City and a civil action relating to unpaid legal bills.
