Thousands of pop fans have attended the annual Party in the Park concert in London's Hyde Park.

The seven-and-a-half hour event featured 15 chart acts, including Will Young, Jamelia, Busted, Avril Lavigne, Anastacia, Sugababes and Lenny Kravitz.

Prince Charles attended the concert in aid of The Prince's Trust charity, which last year raised more than 1m.

Hosted by Geri Halliwell and Blue's Duncan James, the event was expected to attract more than 100,000 pop fans.

Will Young opened the concert, which also featured Blue, The Corrs, McFly and Alanis Morissette.

Capital DJ Johnny Vaughan said: "This is without a doubt the greatest event that happens in London."

The highlight of last year's Party in the Park was Beyonce's performance of her hit Crazy In Love.

The star also had a prime seat next to the Prince of Wales.
