Lopez's Latin heritage is clear

Jennifer's Latin heritage is very much to the fore, thanks to some driving percussion and occasional switches into Spanish.

And most striking of all is the delicate Flamenco-tinged acoustic guitar which is given pride of place in songs such as Too Late and the steamy Could This Be Love.

Elsewhere there are enough memorable choruses and energetic arrangements to suggest this is one of those albums which could be mined for hit singles for months to come.

Despite having to handle some pretty dire lyrics throughout, Lopez stakes a claim for a place among the diva elite in years to come.

Already a major player in the American charts and with huge global success sure to follow, the only problem now left for Jennifer appears to be deciding what to put first on her CV - international movie star or chart-topping pop icon.

Can't be a bad lifestyle, really.
