Football songs to dominate charts
Twisted X
The Twisted X song was chosen by Xfm listeners
Football songs are set to dominate the UK singles chart as fans gear up for the start of the Euro 2004 championships in Portugal.

At least three soccer-related tunes are expected to feature in Sunday's top 10.

It is anticipated the highest new entry will be Come On England by 4-4-2, a reworking of the Dexy's Midnight Runners song Come on Eileen.

The FA's official Euro 2004 single, All Together Now, looks set to improve on its current place at number 10.

The song, an update of The Farm's 1990 hit, was remixed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Spoony and features the St Francis Xavier Boys Choir of Liverpool.

London-based rock station Xfm has been heavily promoting its own Euro 2004 song Born in England, featuring members of Supergrass and the Delays, as well as the Xfm breakfast show team and actor James Nesbitt.

The Farm
All Together Now was a number four hit for The Farm in December 1990

Retail chain HMV's Gennaro Castaldo said: "None of them are going to knock Mario Winans off the number one position, but they all have a good chance of being in the top 10.

"Midweek sales show The Farm song has gone up a couple of places to number eight and Born In England was the 10th best seller when it was released on Monday.

"But Come On England is doing the best so far. Based on the sales it did on Monday it's currently number two and has a very good chance of being in the top 10."

All the tracks will hope to emulate the success of New Order's 1990 hit World in Motion, as well as the Euro 96 anthem Three Lions, by Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds.
