 Tracey Emin lost three pieces of work in a fire last month |
A work of art made by Tracey Emin for model Kate Moss has been found dumped in a skip in east London. The piece - consisting of neon tubing spelling the words Moss Kin - had been mistakenly thrown out of a basement, the model's spokeswoman said.
It was never collected by Moss and was stored by the craftsman who made the glass, the Storm model agency said.
It was then dumped when the craftsman moved, the spokeswoman said. "It was just a mistake," she added.
Specialist
Moss had not collected it because she did not have room, she said - but did want to keep the work.
The Daily Mirror newspaper said the artwork had been stored for three years in the basement of a specialist artist used by Emin in the Spitalfields area.
Last month, Emin, 41, condemned people who "sniggered" when three pieces of her work were destroyed by a �50m fire in a warehouse.
She said she was upset at public reaction to the fire at a storage unit in Leyton, east London.
Pieces by other major modern artists including Damien Hirst, Chris Ofili and Jake and Dinos Chapman were also destroyed.
