Sir Cliff's perfume hits shelves
Sir Cliff Richard
Sir Cliff launched the perfume on Tuesday
Sir Cliff Richard's own brand perfume, called Miss You Nights, is due to hit shop shelves.

The pop singer said he hoped the "Oriental fragrance" with "warm fruity tones" would be a hit with women.

Until now it has only been available through his website and fan clubs, but it will go on sale in shops across the UK from Tuesday.

He said he called the perfume after his hit song Miss You Nights as it was one of his favourites.

"I had the idea to create a perfume for you when I saw the pleasure it gave my sisters when I gave them perfume for their birthdays or Christmas and I wanted to do the same for my extended family," Sir Cliff said.

"So I chose a romantic, warm, oriental scent, just right for winter evenings and those special occasions.

"I chose Miss You Nights as the name for my first perfume. This song is a particular favourite of mine and has personal memories."

The scent will be sold through branches of The Perfume Shop.

But perfume is not Sir Cliff's only business venture.

In 2002 he signed a deal with Waitrose to sell red wine from his Portuguese vineyard.
