Johnson has filed for bankruptcy protection

He is being sued by a number of other businesses in Aspen, Colorado, listed as creditors in a bankruptcy petition.

They include Aspen Valley Hospital, which is asking for $7,345 (�4,141), and Isberian Rug Co, which is seeking $1,228 (�692) in Pitkin County Court.

Johnson, 54, has filed for bankruptcy protection to secure his home.

Los Angeles-based City National Bank filed papers against him in March asking a judge to auction his home to recoup $930,000 (�524,000), according to papers.

Other named creditors include Holy Cross Energy ($1,688, �951) and law firm Garfield & Hecht ($2,787, �1,571).

A spokesman for the actor could not be reached for comment.

Johnson became one of the biggest TV stars of the 1980s for his role as Detective James "Sonny" Crockett in Miami Vice, alongside Philip Michael Thomas (Ricardo Tubbs).

Last year Johnson told a US talk show that suggestions in a German newspaper that he had laundered money had caused him "unbelievable grief".

He said documents detailing �5bn worth of funds in other people's names were from potential film investors.
