Jones released her second album Feels Like Home recently

The USA singer will be joined by disco pop act Scissor Sisters, UK dance act Basement Jazz, ex-Talking Head singer David Byrne, and Howard Tate.

The show, featuring bands playing live in the studio, has been shown on BBC Two since 1993.

Other acts likely to appear in this series include Morrissey and PJ Harvey.

Jones first appeared on the show two years ago, prior to her eight Grammy wins in 2003 for her debut album Come Away With Me. The record went on to sell more than 18 million copies around the world.

She will sing songs from its follow up, Feels Like Home, which was released in April.

Scissor Sisters, a hotly-tipped act from New York, play the show fresh from supporting the newly-reformed Duran Duran.

During its 11-year history, Later... has featured performances from acts including David Bowie, Pulp, At the Drive In and REM.
