What Not to Wear moves to BBC One
Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine
The show has been a big hit on BBC Two
Makeover show What Not to Wear, starring style gurus Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, is moving from BBC Two to BBC one.

BBC One controller Lorraine Heggessey said: "It felt like the time was right for BBC One to get the Trinny and Susannah treatment."

The move follows three series of the show on BBC Two.

The BBC One show will be 60 minutes long, and contestants will nominate themselves instead of being surprised.

"They've already demonstrated their ability to appeal to a wider audience with their red carpet special and they've moved the show on for a prime time slot on BBC One," Ms Heggessey said.

The show is the latest to make the move from BBC Two to BBC One.

BBC Two is now regarded as the terrestrial station to launch new shows.

Long-running satirical news quiz Have I Got News For You moved to BBC One in 2000.
