A raft of Hollywood actors will feature in 100 movie world premieres announced for the Toronto Film Festival. Kevin Spacey writes, directs, acts and sings in the role of success-seeking singer Bobby Darin in Beyond the Sea, alongside John Goodman and Bob Hoskins.
A Good Woman, based on Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan, brings together Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johansson.
The festival - which runs from 9 to 18 September - opens with the premiere of Being Julia, starring Annette Bening.
Adapted from Somerset Maugham's novel Theatre, Istvan Szabo's film pits Bening - as a 1930s London stage star - against a manipulative lover played by Jeremy Irons. Toronto's cinemagoers will also be the first to see Andy Garcia in Modigliani, which details painter Amedeo Modigliani's short, passionate life and bitter rivalry with Picasso.
Festival co-director Noel Cowan said: "Film-makers and distributors have just decided that we are the very first place they want their films shown, and we are very honoured to have been given that privilege."
Kristin Scott Thomas and Romain Duris star in director Jean-Paul Salome's Arsene Lupin, a swashbuckling 19th Century adventure.

British film The Libertine casts Johnny Depp as a seedy wit and poet in the court of King Charles II, played by John Malkovich. Another world premiere comes from Norwegian director Bille August, whose Return to Sender stars Aidan Quinn and Kelly Preston as lawyers battling over a woman on death row.
Millions, the new film by Trainspotting director Danny Boyle, tells the tale of two boys spending robbery loot.
Meanwhile, director John Waters returns with Tracey Ullman in A Dirty Shame, portraying sex addiction in blue collar Baltimore.
The 29th Toronto festival will show a total of 328 films from 61 countries - among them 100 world premieres, 26 films playing for the first time outside their home country and 81 screened for the first time in North America.
