Rock star Lenny Kravitz collapsed from heat exhaustion on Sunday night, during a concert in New Jersey in the US.

Kravitz, wearing bell bottoms and a coat, played for 40 minutes before he walked backstage and collapsed.

The 35-year-old singer, touring with the Black Crowes and Everlast, left the stadium after being treated by a doctor.

Kravitz was the final act in the first concert held at the PNC Banks Arts Centre this season.

Watford win sees Sir Elton lose voice

Sir Elton John lost his voice during his side Watford's 2-0 Division One play-off win against Bolton - but says he will be fine to continue his US tour.

The club's chairman, watching the match via satellite in Seattle, "went crazy" after the first goal was scored and shouted himself hoarse.

But after the game, which saw the side promoted to the Premiership, he said his voice was "gradually coming back" and would be "okay" to continue his tour.

Bomb threat cancells Kenny's show

A bomb threat forced the evacuation of more than 3,000 people at a Kenny Rogers concert at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.

No bomb was found at the venue and no injuries were reported, according to the country singer's publicist Cheryl Kagan.

The concert was supposed to be the last for Rogers during a 10-nation tour and it will be rescheduled.

"I'm extremely disappointed," said Rogers, who was about to take the stage when police recommended the evacuation. "I don't understand who benefits from this. It's an unpolitical gathering of people who are out for a night of good fun."

Baby boy for GMTV presenter Phillips

GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips has given birth to a boy, it has been announced.

The 9lb 3.5 oz baby was born over the weekend at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. He was 11 days overdue.

Phillips, 38, and husband Martin Frizell - the ITV breakfast station's chief correspondent - have named their son Nathaniel.

The name was chosen after the presenter met handsome period-drama actor Nathaniel Parker.

Bad timing for cricket cup anthem

Rock star Dave Stewart's official cricket world cup anthem is set to flop after its release coincided with England's exit from the tournament.

London's biggest record stores failed to sell a single copy of All Around The World, written by the former Eurythmics musician, in the first few hours of its release on Monday.

The song had been launched at a star- studded party, and organisers hoped it would emulate the success of the Euro 96 football anthem Three Lions.

Phantom Menace breaks another record

Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace broke another US box-office record over the weekend, becoming the fastest film to gross $200m according to estimates.

The sci-fi epic reached the sum - equal to 125m - in only 13 days, breaking the 21-day record set by Independence Day in 1996.

Notting Hill, meanwhile, pulled in an impressive $27.8m to take second place in the US chart in its first weekend.

In third and fourth places respectively were The Mummy and Entrapment.

Neve Campbell to star in Scream 3

Actress Neve Campbell will be headlining the forthcoming film Scream 3, according to industry reports in the US.

Other members of the Scream series cast by director Wes Craven in the new film include Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

The film will feature Campbell heading for Hollywood to pursue an acting career and running into bloody mayhem.

It will come out just before Christmas, which proved a successful release date for the first two Scream movies.
