Sci-fi thriller I, Robot has knocked King Arthur from the top of the UK box office chart on its opening weekend. The film, in which Will Smith plays an officer investigating a murder which may have been committed by a robot, took more than �4.7m over three days.
It was followed by another new entry, romantic comedy 13 Going on 30. King Arthur fell into third place.
Thunderbirds fell to eighth place on its third week of release, chart compiler Screen International said.

In fourth place, superhero sequel Spider-Man 2 took its overall box office haul to �23m. Last week Will Smith surprised fans at the London premiere of I, Robot by putting on an impromptu concert in Leicester Square.
Inspired by an Isaac Asimov story, I, Robot led the international box office over the weekend with tickets sales of $31m (�17.2m) in 29 countries outside North America.
King Arthur, an action-packed version of the legend of a half-Briton, half-Roman warrior who rebuffs a Saxon invasion in the 5th century AD, spent just one week at the top of the chart.
