Mark Radcliffe and Marc Riley are going their separate ways |
DJ Mark Radcliffe is to host a nightly show on BBC Radio 2 following the end of his Radio 1 show with Mark Riley at the end of March. He will present the show from Monday to Thursday at 10:30pm from 7 June.
Co-host Mark Riley, nicknamed Lard, will begin a new weekend show on digital station 6 Music from 3 April.
Radcliffe and Riley's afternoon show ends on Radio 1 on 26 March - when they will be replaced by current weekend hosts Edith Bowman and Colin Murray.
Among the other new signings are Mariella Frostrup, who will present a new two-hour arts show every Friday. The show from 10pm to midnight starts on 16 April.
Lesley Douglas, controller of Radio 2 and 6 Music, also announced that Channel 4 presenter Dermot O'Leary would present a new music show in the autumn.
"I'm delighted that Mark Radcliffe, Dermot O'Leary and Mariella Frostrup are to join what is already a brilliant line-up of presenters," Ms Douglas said.
"We also have an exceptional spring and summer schedule of documentaries, live music and features which I am sure our listeners will enjoy."
