Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will open this year's Rock in Rio festival in Portugal. More than 70 performers will take part in the six-day event at Lisbon's Bela Vista Parque from 28 May.
Britney Spears, Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Sting are also due to perform at the festival, modelled on 1985's inaugural Rio de Janeiro event.
Sir Paul's appearance will also kick off his 12-city tour, ending at the Glastonbury Festival on 26 June.
Around 600,000 people are expected to attend the event.
Animated film
Acts who have played at the festival in Rio de Janeiro include Queen, Iron Maiden, Neil Young, Oasis and Britney Spears.
Sir Paul announced at the weekend he was making a short animated film.
Tropic Island Hum, based around the adventures of a Liverpudlian squirrel called Wirral, will feature on a DVD to be released on 19 April.
It will feature a new children's song written by the former Beatle.
