US police are investigating the theft of a $20,000 (�11,000) bronze statue of Star Wars character Yoda. The limited edition statue was one of four commissioned by the Lucasfilm studio and was stolen from the back of a truck in Pasadena, California.
Artist Lawrence Noble - who describes the statue as a "high-end collectible" - has offered a $1,000 (�550) reward.
The statue of Yoda - a Jedi master voiced in the films by Frank Oz - weighs 12 stone 2 lb (77 kg).
The theft took place on the night of 17 January, a police spokeswoman said. The four statues were bolted to the back of a truck parked at a lot on Colorado Boulevard.
They were in the process of being transported from Artworks Foundry in Berkeley to Los Angeles to be sold.
