BBC Radio 2 is toasting high audience figures for its leading DJs Terry Wogan and Steve Wright. Wogan's breakfast show attracts a record 7.9 million listeners each day, according to research body Rajar.
Meanwhile, Steve Wright's programme is heard by one in five of all radio listeners each afternoon.
The figures, which cover the last three months of 2003, show 13.15 million people listen to the station each week, slightly down on the previous year.
Radio 1 saw its weekly listening figures fall by more than one million over the last year - with 9.4 million listeners tuning in at the end of last year, against 10.5 million in 2002.
But these ratings were recorded before afternoon DJ Chris Moyles took on its flagship breakfast show, trading places with Sara Cox.
Radio 3 saw its figures rise slightly to 2.2 million, while Radio 4's weekly reach fell by 300,000 to 9.5 million.
Radio Five Live also saw a fall in its audience. Both it and its digital sister station Five Live Sports Extra had an audience of 6.15 million, compared with 6.27 million for Five Live alone the previous year.
