Chili Peppers' UK shows sell fast
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently released a greatest hits album
Fans of US rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers snapped up 200,000 tickets to see them on their UK summer tour in under four hours on Saturday.

Demand for tickets was so high that organisers added a new date at London's Hyde Park, which also sold out.

A handful of tickets remain for the opening show at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 13 June.

The band will appear at the City Of Manchester stadium on 18 June, and in Hyde Park on 19 and 20 June.

The first Hyde Park show will be broadcast by BBC Radio 1.

The band are enjoying renewed popularity following the release of a greatest hits album at the end of 2003.

Concert promoters have said they will consider adding further dates to the tour.
