Low-budget thriller Primer and music documentary Dig! have won the two top prizes at the Sundance Film Festival. Primer, about two men who invent a time travel machine, won the Grand Jury Prize for best drama.
Shane Carruth, who wrote and directed the film for $7,000 (�3,800) said he was "stunned" at winning the award.
Dig!, which charts the rivalry of two rock musicians, won best documentary. Director Ondi Timoner took seven years to complete the film.
It follows Anton Newcombe of cult band the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Dandy Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor.

The awards came on Saturday night at the end of the 11-day festival of independent film-making, held in Park City, Utah. Morgan Spurlock, who spent 30 days eating only food from McDonald's and then chronicled its impact on his body in Super Size Me, earned the directing award for his efforts.

l and Danny Glover as well as director Lisa Cholodenko and producer Ted Hope, while documentaries were judged by a team including film-makers Rory Kennedy, Robb Moss and Chris Smith. The audience award for dramatic films, chosen by Sundance movie-goers, went to Maria Full Of Grace, a Spanish-language story of a young Colombian woman who becomes a "mule" smuggling heroin into the US.
Written and directed by Joshua Marston, Catalina Sanino Moreno plays the lead role.
Ross Kauffman and Zana Briski's Born Into Brothels, a film about the children of prostitutes in Calcutta, won the audience prize for documentaries.
