Alex Parks won the second series of Fame Academy |
BBC TV series Fame Academy could be evicted from the London house where it is filmed in a row over the treatment of the historic building. Officers at Camden Council have issued a report in which they claim that Witanhurst - the listed house where the series is set - has suffered damage.
Production company Endemol says great care was taken to protect the building.
Camden Council meets on Thursday to decide whether to allow a third series of the show to be filmed at the house.
Planning officers are recommending that permission be refused, said a council spokeswoman.
Changes
"Endemol made changes to the building and acted reasonably responsibly, in that those changes were reversible and most of them have been reversed," she said.
A decision on Fame Academy's future is expected later this year |
"However in the process there has been some damage to the building and they should have got listed building consent."
She said council officers are concerned about the "cumulative effect" of another series being filmed there.
There have also been complaints from residents about noise from helicopters, loud music played at night and the smell from on-site generators.
An Endemol spokeswoman said the company hoped the matter could be resolved.
"Throughout production of the Fame Academy series we took great care to ensure that the fabric of Witanhurst as a Grade II* listed building was protected," she said.
"We have been working very closely with the local authorities from the very start and we will continue to do so in addressing any concerns raised."
A decision on whether to film a third series of the programme is due later this year.
