Rings rule cinemas for fifth week
The Return of the King
The Return of the King has taken $767m (�424m) worldwide
The final Lord of the Rings movie has stayed at number one in the UK box office chart for a fifth week in a row.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King earned almost �2.4m over the weekend of 16-18 January, pushing its total UK box office takings past �52m.

Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai stayed in second, taking �2m over the weekend.

Quirky comedy Lost In Translation moved up two places to third after it went on UK-wide release. It had only been on limited release in the previous week.

Ben Affleck's new action thriller Paycheck was the highest new entry at number four, while John Cusack's court drama Runaway Jury went in at seven.

Acclaimed Lost in Translation actress Scarlett Johansson had two movies in the top 10, with Girl With A Pearl Earring entering the list at number 10, earning �385,000 from 106 screens.
