A digital poppy was used when Ross could not re-film parts of the show |
A virtual poppy was superimposed on presenter Jonathan Ross after he forgot to wear one during part of his BBC One movie show Film 2003. Ross planned to wear a poppy for the entire 4 November show but it was removed and not replaced as he filmed segments for future shows.
A spokeswoman said: "They did have the poppy on one side for him to wear but it was forgotten at the last minute."
Screen images were adjusted after difficulty in re-filming the scenes.
"It is the case that the poppy worn by Jonathan Ross was digitally imaged," the spokeswoman for the programme admitted.
"We were going to get him in to film it again but unfortunately Jonathan had filming commitments and had flu earlier in the week.
"So this was thought to be the best solution."
